Denning drives to seventh in TCE Modified at Cedar County Raceway
After a brief summer break, Travis Denning climbed back behind the wheel of his Petersen Insurance No. 56D Late Model on Wednesday at Maquoketa Speedway as part of the Jackson County Fair.
Denning finished third in his heat race but struggled to find speed in the feature, slipping to a 14th-place finish at the checkered flag.
Shifting gears for the weekend, Denning piloted the Timmy Current Enterprises No. 12TC Modified in Friday's portion of Gary Reinhart Memorial at Cedar County Raceway. He showed steady improvement throughout the night, rebounding from a seventh-place heat result to advance seven spots in the main event for a 14th-place finish.
Denning wrapped up his weekend with a solid showing in Saturday’s Sh!t Box Nationals feature, charging from 13th to seventh to close out the weekend on a high note.
