Harris scores podium finish at I-75 Raceway; 10th-place finish with Lucas Dirt at Atomic
Clay Harris started off his Fourth of July weekend early with a visit to I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) on Thursday night for a $5,000-to-win Southern All Star show.
Locking himself into the 40-lap main event through qualifying, Harris made up seven spots and wound up on the podium in third behind Garrett Smith and Cory Hedgecock.
Onto Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition for the rest of the holiday weekend, Clay recorded a strong charge through the field at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) on Friday evening and finished 10th.
He wrapped up the weekend by finishing 23rd at Muskingum County Speedway (Dresden, Ohio) on Saturday.
Harris is currently 14th in the series point standings.
