Fourth of July weekend brings Payton Freeman to I-75 and Senoia

Kicking off the holiday weekend on Thursday evening, Payton Freeman was one of 33 Southern All Star entries at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) for the $5,000-to-win show.

Making the show through a B-Feature, Freeman made up four spots in the 40-lap feature to finish 16th.

After taking the holiday off, Payton rolled into Senoia (Ga.) Raceway on Saturday evening for the $15,000-to-win Independence Shootout with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series. Freeman qualified fifth-quickest in his group, but fell back in his heat race which put him out of reach in a last chance race.
