Chase Holland completes Hell Tour Week 4 on Duck River podium

After kicking off the fourth week of the Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals with his first series victory on Tuesday, Chase Holland competed for the next five nights in one of the toughest stretches of the “Hell Tour.” He grabbed three top-10 finishes in fields averaging almost 23 DIRTcar UMP Modifieds per event.

Following their win at the 3/8-mile Benton (Missouri) Speedway on Tuesday evening, Holland and his Bandit Crossfit No. 45 team traveled to Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Illinois, for the Wednesday show. Holland took fifth in his heat race at the 3/8-mile track and advanced four spots from his 15th-place starting position in the 25-lap feature to finish 11th.

Thursday saw the tour move to the Land of Lincoln and the quarter-mile LaSalle (Illinois) Speedway. Holland claimed fourth in his heat and began the 25-lap main event from the 11th spot for the second consecutive night. He came home eighth.

Friday’s Fourth of July festivities took place at Red Hill Raceway in Sumner, Illinois, where Holland was runner-up in his heat race on the 4/10-mile oval. He began the 25-lap A-Main from the third row and climbed one position to finish fifth behind Will Krup, Tyler Nicely, Trevor Neville and Hunt Gossum.

A program in the Hoosier State was on tap on Saturday, as Haubstadt, Indiana’s quarter-mile Tri-State Speedway hosted the Hell Tour. Holland again was runner-up in his heat race, but ran into trouble in the 25-lap feature after starting fourth. He registered a 15th-place result with a DNF.

The fourth week of the Summit Modified Nationals closed with a Sunday-night show at Duck River Raceway Park in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Holland took the checkered flag in his heat race at the quarter-mile speed plant and began the main event from the pole. He led the first two circuits of the 25-lapper and ultimately finished third behind Lucas Lee and Trent Young. Zac Harris and Jason Garver completed the top five.

Entering the fifth and final week of the Summit Modified Nationals, Holland is second in the point standings, 62 markers behind Trevor Neville.
