Ethan Dotson brings ASD Motorsports four Top-10 finishes over week
Picking up a DIRTcar Summer Nationals race before the World of Outlaws weekend, Ethan Dotson joined a 45-car field at Springfield (Mo.) Raceway on Tuesday afternoon for a $5,000-to-win show.
Finishing third in his heat race, Dotson started 12th in the 30-lapper and drove forward to a Top-5 finish in fourth. He trailed Tyler Erb, Ashton Winger, and Brandon Sheppard while Billy Moyer Sr. completed the Top-5.
Losing the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Series weekend opener to Mother Nature, the ASD Motorsports team pulled into River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, N.D.) for the first race of a three-night stretch.
After charging from 17th-to-9th in the A-Main on Friday night, Dotson put down his best effort on Saturday with a runner-up finish at Norman County Raceway (Ada, Minn.). He started seventh in the $15,000-to-win show and wound up just one shot short behind Nick Hoffman.
Ethan closed out the extended weekend at Nodak Speedway (Minot, N.D.) where he led 42 laps before slipping back to sixth late in the main event.
Ethan is now seventh in the WoO point standings.
