Dillard runner-up with Hell Tour at Lincoln Speedway
Cade Dillard made the hike to I-55 Raceway (Pevely, Mo.) on Friday afternoon to join the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series and DIRTcar Summer Nationals for the co-sanctioned Firecracker Faceoff.
Cade clocked in four-fastest in his stacked qualifying group and came away with a heat race win which earned him the pole position for the $12,000-to-win opener. Dillard ran inside the Top-3 before a late mechanical failure relegated him to a 24th-place finish. The following night did not yield better results and Cade once again did not finish the A-Main and finished 27th.
Shaking off the bad luck on Sunday night, Dillard followed the Hell Tour to Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway on Sunday and scored a podium finish in second. He trailed Tyler Erb while Ryan Gustin completed the Top-3.
Tagging along for one more Hell Tour show at Springfield (Mo.) Raceway on Tuesday, Dillard fell back in his heat race and did not make the main event.
