Sorensen lands sixth-place outing in Modified World Championship at Mississippi Thunder Speedway

Dustin Sorensen unloaded his J&S Repair No. 19 Modifed at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) on Thursday afternoon and competed in the first-ever Modified World Championship over the weekend.

Falling back in his heat race, Sorensen started towards the back of his B-Main and charged through the field to take home the win. Dustin started 21st in the 30-lap preliminary and once again stormed through his competitors and landed a Top-5 finish. The result locked him into Saturday's finale.

With $100,025 on the line in the finale, Dustin earned the 19th-place starting position and slowly made his way into the Top-10. Sorensen wound up with a sixth-place finish in the 80-lap main event.
