2025 Crate Racin' USA Winter Shootout Series Schedule Announced

(Eastaboga, AL - November 23rd, 2024) – The Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series is excited to announce the schedule for its 2025 Winter Shootout Series. Marking its 10th season, the Winter Shootout promises another thrilling winter of dirt racing action with four weekends of competition across Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee.

The 2025 Winter Shootout will feature six main events over four weekends, giving racers a chance to chase the prestigious championship and a $4,000 payday. Last season, Will Roland from Jasper, GA captured his first career Winter Shootout Series Championship, joining an elite list of past champions Chase Edge ('16), Kyle Bronson ('17), Jimmy Elliott ('18 & '19), Pierce McCarter ('20), Dylan Knowles ('21), Cory Hedgecock ('22 & '23). Roland began his championship run in 2024 with a season opening win at the Ice Bowl, it was Roland's first career winter shootout series win.

2025 Winter Shootout Series Schedule:
January 2-4: Talladega Short Track - Eastaboga, AL| Ice Bowl ($4,000 to win)
January 22-25: Volusia Speedway Park - Barberville, FL| DirtCar Sunshine Nationals ($10,000 to win)
February 15: I75 Raceway - Sweetwater, TN | The Sweetheart ($3,000 to win)
February 20-22: Hendry County Raceway Park - Clewiston, FL| Swamp Cabbage 100 ($15,000 to win)

Season Kicks Off at Talladega Short Track
The 2025 Winter Shootout Series will open with the highly anticipated 34th Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL, taking place January 2-4. The Ice Bowl has become the traditional season opener for the Winter Shootout and has seen the winner go on to claim the series championship in two of the past three seasons, including 2024 champion Will Roland and 2022 champion Cory Hedgecock. The event will pay $4,000 to the winner and will feature eight other divisions of racing over three days.

Three Nights at Volusia for the Sunshine Nationals
After the Ice Bowl, the series will head south for the 6th Annual DirtCar Sunshine Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL, January 23-25. This event is a staple in the Winter Shootout, with past winners including Kyle Bronson and Matt Henderson. The weekend will feature three nights of racing, including prelims on Thursday and Friday, culminating with the $10,000-to-win feature on Saturday night. I75 Raceway Hosts The Sweetheart
In February, the Winter Shootout Series will make its debut at I75 Raceway in Sweetwater, TN, for The Sweetheart on February 15, paying $3,000 to win. This marks the return of the popular event after the closure of 411 Motor Speedway in 2024. I75 Raceway, a familiar track to Crate Racin' USA fans, will host this event for the first time under the Winter Shootout banner. Drivers will be looking to add their names to the list of past Sweetheart winners, with Cory Hedgecock having won the last edition of the race in 2023.

Swamp Cabbage 100 Closes Out Winter Shootout Series at Hendry County
The final weekend of the 2025 Winter Shootout Series will feature a brand-new venue for the mini-series, as the 3rd Annual Swamp Cabbage 100 at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, FL, will take place February 20-22. This event will pay $15,000 to win and is expected to draw a large crowd from across the southeast. The Swamp Cabbage 100 will also feature a $22,000-to-win Factory Stock event and a $3,000-to-win CRUSA Street Stock feature. Winter Shootout Points Fund and Rookie of the Year Fund announced
The overall points champion of the 2025 Winter Shootout Series will take home $4,000, with a total points fund of $17,250 for the top 10 drivers. Additionally, the best finishing rookie will earn a $1,500 bonus, with second and third place rookies also receiving cash prizes. The rookie points fund totals $2,750.

Drivers competing in 100% of scheduled Winter Shootout events will receive full point fund payout. Drivers competing in less than 100% of scheduled events, point fund payment will be prorated based on driver’s participation (i.e. 60% of races completed = 60% of posted points payout; 70% of races completed = 70% of posted points payout, etc.)
