Trent Ivey scores Top-10 finish during World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte
Beginning his second week of competition at the facility, Trent Ivey unloaded his Ivey Septic Service No. 88 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) for the 18th-annual World Finals with the World of Outlaw Case Construction Late Model Series.
With over 60 Late Models checked in for the long week, Ivey qualified 12th-fastest in his stacked group before grabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race. Starting 18th in the first $15,000-to-win feature on the week, Trent rolled forward eight positions to score a Top-10 finish in 10th.
The following night, Ivey did not find the same speed and was unable to make Friday's main event.
For Saturday's $25,000-to-win finale, Ivey finished ninth in a dash which earned him a spot in the main event. Once again starting 18th, Trent made up three spots over 50 laps to finish 15th.
