Jackson 100 weekend brings Robinson to Brownstown
Ross Robinson returned on the road with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) over the weekend as the rescheduled Jackson 100 took place at Brownstown (IN) Speedway.
With Friday’s C.J. Rayburn Memorial kicking off the doubleheader event, Robinson squeezed into the opener with the final transfer spot in his heat. Gunning for the $10,000 preliminary payday, Ross posted an 18th-place finish.
On Saturday, Ross was forced to use a provisional into the $50,000-to-win Jackson 100 after missing a transfer spot by one car in his consolation race. Pinned on the 12th row, Robinson was an early retiree from the 100-lapper on lap 67.
