Cade Dillard pockets $5,000 Modified victory at Arrowhead Speedway

Fall Nationals at Vado Speedway Park Up Next

ROBELINE, La. (10/14/24) – Cade Dillard hopped behind the wheel of the Chad Wheeler Racing Modified over the weekend and drove to his 12th win of the season in the second round of Saturday’s ARMI Contractors All-American at Arrowhead Speedway aboard the Wheeler Metals / WR1 Sim Chassis / Bilstein Shocks No. 88 CDR Race Cars entry.

Dillard regained the lead on lap 12 and repelled a charging Rodney Sanders in the waning circuits of the 30-lap feature to secure the $5,000 winner’s payday.

“It’s just awesome to be able to come and race here finally,” Dillard said. “This is a top-notch facility with a promoter and track crew that put a lot of hard work into it. Big thanks to all the awesome fans here tonight along with Chad Wheeler and his family. They have been a huge asset to CDR Race Cars. They are great friends of mine and I can’t thank them enough.”

Cade Dillard made the trip to Arrowhead Speedway (Colcord, Okla.) on Friday afternoon to pilot the Chad Wheeler-owned No. 88 Modified for the second annual ARMI Contractors All-American.

On night one, Dillard joined 28 other USRA Modified drivers and started fifth in the first of two $5,000-to-win features of the weekend. Cade battled inside the Top-5 early in the main event before mechanical issues forced him to pull in. He was scored 20th in the final running order.

Hoping for better luck on Saturday evening, Cade charged forward seven positions in his heat race, which earned him a front-row starting spot for the A-Main. With another $5,000 payday on the line, Dillard battled with pole-starting Kyle Slader before pulling away and taking the checkered flag in the 40-lap feature. Dillard outran Rodney Sanders and Trevor Hughes for his 11th Modified victory of the season.

The $5,000 triumph marked his 12th overall win of the 2024 campaign.

Dillard now shifts his focus to Vado Speedway Park this coming weekend for the 24th annual Fall Nationals. A pair of prelims on Friday and Saturday are followed by Sunday’s finale, which boasts a $20,000 top prize.
