Top-5 finish in MLRA Fall Nationals finale at Lucas Oil Speedway
Closing in on the end of the season with the tour, Dillon McCowan made his way to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Thursday afternoon to kick off the three-day MLRA-sanctioned Fall Nationals.
On night one, McCowan charged to an 11th-place finish from his 23rd-starting spot before sneaking into the Top-10 in Friday's $5,000-to-win feature.
With $10,000 on the line Saturday night, Dillon nabbed the final transfer spot in his heat race and started 16th in the feature. Using all 50-laps to his advantage, McCowan stormed through the field and landed inside the Top-5 in fourth. He trailed Chris Simpson, Stormy Scott, and Tony Jackson Jr. while Chad Simpson completed the Top-5.
