Runner-up score in Gumbo Nationals at Greenville Speedway
Heading for the famous Gumbo Nationals on Friday afternoon, Payton Freeman checked in with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge at Greenville (Miss.) Speedway for the first night of the doubleheader.
Finishing sixth in the $5,000-to-win opener, Freeman picked up a heat race victory on Saturday before racing to a podium position in the $10,000 finale. He trailed race-winner Tyler Erb while Mike Palasini Jr. completed the Top-3.
