Drake Troutman 10th in 36th-annual Pittsburgher; seventh-place outing in opener
With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series back in his home state, Drake Troutman excitedly unloaded his RFI Resources No. 7 machine at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pa.) on Friday afternoon for the Pittsburgher.
Competing against 37 other Super Late Models, Troutman qualified seventh-quickest in his group before finishing runner-up in his heat race. In the $10,000-to-win opener, Drake started fifth and finished seventh after 30-laps.
Nabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race on Saturday, Drake started 14th in the $50,000-to-win finale and gained four positions for a Top-10 finish.
Troutman is still leading the Rookie of the Year point standings with the LOLMDS.
