37th Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge for Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series/Ultimate Heart of America Series $12,059 to win at Richmond

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (October 8, 2024)- The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels and the Ultimate Heart of America Super Late Model Series will co-sanction the 37th Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge at Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY on Saturday October 12. The “Butterball” will be 59 laps in distance and will pay $12,059 to win and $1,200 to start. It will be the 2024 season finale for both series, with each tour crowning their respective series champions that evening. Drivers will be competing for a total feature purse of over $55,000 in this one-day prestigious event.

The 37th Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge will take place at Richmond Raceway on Saturday October 12 and will feature the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels co-sanctioned with the Ultimate Heart of America Super Late Model Series in a full program of Todd Steel Buildings “Building Speed” Hot Laps, E-Z-GO Time Trials presented by Brucebilt Performance, Heat Races, STAKT Products B-Mains, and the 59-lap, $12,000 to win/$1,200 to start 37th Annual Paul “Butterball” Wooldridge Memorial Valvoline A-Main event. The KDRA Super Stock Series presented by Todd Steel Buildings will also have their season finale with the 5th Annual Lonnie Centers Memorial on Saturday October 12, paying $1,800 to win and $100 to start. The Open Wheel Modifieds will race for $1,259 to win at “The Butterball” and the Crown Vic division will be racing for $559 to win.

In addition, there will be a Crate Engine bonus in place for “the Butterball” feature event. Richmond Raceway will be paying $200 to the highest finishers using a Crate Engine, while CT Promotions will pay $100 to the second-highest finisher using a Crate Engine, with CT Promotions also adding $50 to the third-highest finisher using a Crate Engine. Also, each heat race winner in Super Late Model competition will receive one free Hoosier Race Tire. The starting field will consist of 24 starters, with each series receiving two provisional starting spots.

Activities at Richmond Raceway on Saturday October 12 will see the pit area open at 2:00 p.m. and the general admission area will open at 4:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 5:30 p.m., followed by hot laps and time trials at 6:00 p.m. Tickets prices on Saturday October 12 at Richmond Raceway in the general admission area will be $30 (children ages 10 and under free), while a pit pass will be $45 (children ages 6-12 will be $25 in the pit area).

The Valvoline Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels and the Ultimate Heart of America Super Late Model Series will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the events and the tire rules will be as follows: Fronts/Left Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2 and Hoosier NLMT 3; Right Rear: Hoosier NLMT 3 and Hoosier NLMT 4 (there is no limit on the number of tires used; the droop rule will be in effect, along with the Unified Dirt Late Model Car Construction rules). The entry fee for the event is $110 and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track for $10. Any driver not making the 24-car starting field each evening will receive $50 tow money.
