Matt Henderson scores Top-5 finish in State Championship at East Alabama Motor Speedway
Heading into the weekend with a good notebook, Matt Henderson and the Rusty Webb Racing team joined Crate Racin' USA at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Saturday for the first night of the Alabama State Championship.
Falling back in his heat race on Saturday, Henderson was forced to come through a B-Main on Sunday to make the $10,000 main event. Starting 24th in the 50-lap main event, Matt wasted no time and came through the field, passing 20 competitors on his way to a fourth-place finish. He trailed Randy Weaver, Ricky Culpepper, and Austin Horton while Montana Dudley completed the Top-5.
