Shane Wolf Wins 7th Annual John Susice Memorial

RANSOMVILLE, NY (September 13, 2024) Shane Wolf from Susquehanna, PA won the John Susice Memorial for the Butler Excavating Empire Street Stock Series Presented by Neff Landscaping, Powered by Cummings Trucking at the Ransomville Speedway Friday night. Chad Brachman from Sanborn, NY won the Big Block/Small Block Shootout for the Krown Undercoating Modifieds. Derek Wagner from Middleport, NY won the Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman feature event. Noah Pangrazio from Elba, NY won the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman feature. Bailey Brothers Landscaping, Chameleon Pools, Krown Undercoating of Ransomville, J&D Tires, and Climate Pros presented the racing action.

Chad Brachmann and Steve Lewis Jr were on the front row for the Big Block/Small Block Shootout for the Krown Undercoating Modified feature, with Brachmann in the lead ahead of Ryan Susice, Lewis, Dalton Slack, and Erick Rudolph. Gary Lindberg would enter the top five on lap six after passing Steve Lewis Jr, with Slack and Rudolph racing in positions three and four respectively. Brachmann would lead at the halfway mark ahead of Susice, Slack, Rudolph, and Lindberg. The caution would come out as Jesse Cotriss hit the turn three wall on lap 20. The restart would see Brachmann in the lead over Susice and Rudolph. Brachmann would go on to score the win, the 22nd career Modified win, which is 10th on the all-time wins list, tied with Drivin’ Ivan Little.

Mike Kelly and Larry Vick were on the front row the John Susice Memorial for the Butler Excavating & Concrete Empire Street Stock Series presented by Neff Landscaping and powered by Cummings Trucking, with Kelly in the lead ahead of Brandon Sherwood, Mike Welch, Jimmy Grant, and Vick. Welch would take second away on lap three, with Sherwood beginning to pull away from the field. Shane Wolf would enter the top five and then he would challenge Kelly for fourth place. Dale Rissinger spun in turn three to bring out the race’s first caution on lap 11. The restart would see Sherwood in the lead with Shane Wolf moving into second place ahead of Welch, Grant, and Pat Hobbs. Wolf would take the lead away from Sherwood on lap 15. The caution would come out on lap 21 as Damian Long slowed in turn one. Jimmy Grant would take second away from Sherwood following the restart, as Wolf started to pull away from the field. Wolf would score the win over Sherwood and Grant.

Greenley George and Abby Castile brought the field of Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman to the green flag, with George in the lead at the drop of the green ahead of Dave Conant, Dave DiPietro, Castile, and Adam Hilton. Conant would take over the lead on lap three, with DiPietro taking over second, Hilton in third place, followed by George, and Matteo Panunte. Derek Wagner would move into the top five and on lap nine, would pass Panunte to take over third place and would quickly go after DiPietro for second place. Derek Wagner would take over second on lap 20 and would go after Conant for the lead. Wagner would complete the pass for the lead on lap 23, and Wagner would go on to score the win.

Kyle Teeter and Jocelyn Just brought the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman to the green flag with Teeter in the lead. The caution would come out on lap six as Just spun in turn three. The restart would see Teeter and Noah Pangrazio on the front row, with Pangrazio taking the lead and Pangrazio would go on to score the win.
