Second-place outing with Southern All Stars at Sugar Creek Raceway

On Saturday afternoon, Payton Freeman rolled into Sugar Creek Raceway (Blue Ridge, Ga.) for the $5,057-to-win Russell Thomas Memorial with the Southern All Stars.

With a large 36-car field on hand, Freeman qualified third-quickest in his group which earned him a third-row starting spot in the A-Main. Making his way to the front, Payton battled for the lead but ultimately settled for a runner-up finish. He trailed David Payne while Garrett Smith completed the podium.
