Ross Robinson drives to eighth in LOLMDS Rumble by the River at Port Royal
Ross Robinson made a mid-week trip to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) on Wednesday afternoon for the Castrol FloRacing Night in America event.
Against a stacked field of 48 Late Models, Robinson recorded a pair of sixth-place finishes in his heat race and his consolation race, ending his night early.
With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Friday and Saturday at Port Royal (PA) Speedway for the Rumble the River, Ross climbed six positions in the Friday’s preliminary to finish 17th after resorting to a provisional into the 25-lapper.
On Saturday, Robinson raced his way into the $50,000-to-win Rumble by the River finale with a third-place finish in his heat race. Starting the 50-lap affair in 14th, Ross moved forward six spots to register an eighth-place finish.
