Mckay Wenger
Runner-up honors in Fairbury's Fair Race
After Mother Nature stole Friday’s opener at Farmer City (IL) Speedway, McKay Wenger entered a single event over the weekend with Saturday’s Fair Race at Fairbury (IL) Speedway.
Breaking out a brand new Pro Power Racing Engines underneath the hood of the Curless Motorsports No. 99 Late Model, Wenger backed up the second-fastest lap in his qualifying group with a third-place finish in his heat race. With a $2,500 payday up for grabs in the FALS Cup A-Main, McKay climbed four positions in the 30-lap affair to register a second-place finish. He joined race-winner Mike Spatola and Blaze Burwell on the podium.
