Seventh-place finish in $50,000 USA Nationals at Cedar Lake Speedway

Following the World of Outlaw Case Late Model Series further North, Cade Dillard checked into Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) on Thursday afternoon for the first night of the USA Nationals.

With World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series officials pushing Thursday's program to Friday afternoon due to wet track conditions, Dillard began his weekend with a 13th-place showing in the first $6,000-to-win preliminary feature before recording a 16th-place finish in the evening's prelim.

Racing his way into the big show through a LCS, Cade started 19th in the main event and charged all the way to seventh just past halfway. Unfortunately, rain shortened the 100-lap feature to 56 laps and Dillard finished seventh.

Dillard is currently fifth in the series point standings.
