Herrington follows Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series to Duck River; sixth in Deep Fried 75 opener
Returning to Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series competition after a lengthy summer break, Wil Herrington was one of 34 Super Late Models checked in at Duck River Raceway Park (Shelbyville, Tenn.) for the Deep Fried 75 weekend.
Topping his qualifying group, Herrington started the $5,000-to-win main event from the pole and led the opening lap before Sam Seawright pulled away. Wil faded to finish sixth after 30 laps.
For Saturday's $20,000-to-win finale, Wil finished third in his heat race before finishing 13th in the 75-lap main event.
Herrington is currently eighth in the HTFSDS point standings.
