Clay Harris
Eighth-place finish in Kosiski Family 53 during long stretch with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
Following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series into a busy week of competition, Clay Harris started off his week with a pair of $10,000-to-win events at Eagle (Neb.) Raceway and Shelby County Speedway (Harlan, Iowa).
With a forgettable 18th-place finish on Monday, Harris picked up his best run of the week with a Top-10 outing in the $10,000 Kosiski Family 53 as he placed eighth.
Turning his attention to Huset's Speedway (Brandon, S.D.) on Thursday, Clay Harris joined a small field of 25 Late Models for the Silver Dollar Nationals presented by MyRacePass.
Finishing 20th and 18th respectively in the preliminary features, Harris started 20th in the $53,000-to-win finale, but pulled off early with mechanical issues.
In the point standings, Harris currently sits 13th overall and second in Rookie of the Year.
