Jack Riggs tackles week on the Hell Tour; 11th in Independence Day Special at Duck River

Primed to tackle a week of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals, Jack Riggs unloaded the Sheppard-Riggs Racing No. 81 machine at Old No. 1 Speedway (Harrisburg, Ark.) to kick off week four of the Hell Tour.

Opening up the week with a car count of 42 Late Models, Riggs fell backwards in his heat race before transferring through the C-Main into the Last Chance Showdown. Needing a Top-2 finish, Jack recorded an 11th-place finish.

Wednesday's event at Benton (Mo.) Speedway was washed out.

Struggling to find speed over the next few days, Riggs did not make the main events at Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Ark.) and Clarksville (Tenn.) Speedway while not participating in the $10,000-to-win event at Paducah (Ky.) International Raceway.

Instead of following the tour to Indiana, Jack Riggs headed back closer to home at Duck River Raceway Park (Shelbyville, Tenn.) for the Independence Day Special. Starting 14th in the $6,000-to-win feature, Jack made up three spots to finish 11th.
