Trent Ivey fifth with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Cherokee Speedway
Returning to the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series, Trent Ivey traveled to Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway on Friday afternoon for the Buddy Crook Memorial.
Among a 27-car field, Ivey started 18th in the $12,000-to-win feature and pulled off early to finish 26th.
At his home track of Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Saturday, Ivey kicked off an interesting night by going quickest in his qualifying group. In his heat race, Trent fell back to seventh after contact with another competitor. Racing his way into the $20,000-to-win feature through a last chance qualifier, Trent stormed through the field from 19th to land inside the Top-5 in fifth.
