Will Roland fifth with DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Adams County
Continuing his trip in the Midwest, Will Roland joined the DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Davenport (Iowa) Speedway on Tuesday afternoon for the second week of the Hell Tour.
With a strong field of 38 Late Models signed in, Roland missed the setup in qualifying and was unable to make up many spots in his heat race or last chance showdown. Finishing outside of the Top-2, Will watched the feature from the sidelines.
Finding much more speed at Adams County Speedway (Quincy, Ill) on Wednesday, Will went from third-to-second in his heat race to earn a starting spot on the fourth-row. In the $5,000-to-win feature, Roland moved forward two positions to land inside the Top-5 in fifth.
At Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) on Thursday, Roland raced his way into the 30-lap feature through a B-Main and made up four spots to finish 13th.
For the first $10,000-to-win show of the week, Will once again transferred through a B-Main before recording an 18th-place finish in the main event.
Charging from sixth-to-third in his heat race at Federated Auto Parts I-55 Raceway (Pevely, Mo.) on Saturday, Roland started 12th in the $10,000-to-win feature and wound up 18th.
Finishing off the week on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway, Will made up six spots in the quick 30-lap feature to finish 13th.
