Erb records fourth-place finish with XR Super Series at Kokomo
Best Performance Motorsports driver Tyler Erb returned to the Super Late Model ranks on Friday evening as his preliminary night for the 30th Dirt Late Model Dream kicked off at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio).
With 51 Late Models entered for Friday’s program, Erb soared into the preliminary feature with a third-to-first outing in his heat race. Chasing the $25,000 top prize in 50-lap affair, Tyler faded to finish 11th.
Back at the half-mile oval on Saturday, Tyler outran Brian Shirley in his 15-lap heat to secure the victory. Taking the green in third for the $100,030-to-win Dream XXX, Erb was never able to find his footing in the 100-lapper. He ran in the top-five for the first 35 laps before ultimately crossing the line in 15th.
A quick stop to Kokomo Speedway (Kokomo, Ind.) on Monday resulted in a fourth-place finish for Erb in XR Super Series-sanctioned Monday Night Spotlight A-Main. He trailed Devin Moran, Ryan Gustin, and Bobby Pierce to the checkers with Jason Feger coming in fifth.
