Stormy steers to ninth-place finish in Dream XXX at Eldora
Stormy Scott returned to action over the weekend as his preliminary night for the 30th annual Dirt Late Model Dream kicked off on Friday at the famed Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio).
With 51 Late Models entered for Friday’s prelim, Scott laid down the seventh-fastest time in his 25-car group before placing second in his heat. Gunning for the $25,000 top prize in his preliminary feature, Stormy inched forward two spots in the 50-lap affair to finish seventh.
For Saturday’s Dirt Late Model Dream finale, Stormy raced into the $100,030-to-win Dream XXX with a runner-up heat showing. Steering to a top-10 finish as the only driver in the 26-car field representing New Mexico, Scott notched a ninth-place outing in the 100-lap affair aboard his Category 5 Race Cars No. 2S Late Model.
