Third-place finish in Dream XXX at Eldora Speedway
Coming off a pair of wins in his home-state of Georgia, Brandon Overton returned to his Infinity Chassis No. 76 Wells Motorsports Late Model on Thursday at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for his preliminary night for the 30th annual Dirt Late Model Dream.
With the 100-car field divided into two groups over Thursday and Friday, Overton raced into his $25,000-to-win prelim with a third-place finish in his heat. Starting the feature in seventh, Brandon dropped three spots to finish 10th.
Back at the half-mile oval on Saturday, Brandon raced his way into the Dream XXX with a flag-to-flag victory in his heat race. Gunning for the $100,030 top prize in the main event, Overton advanced forward three spots in the 100-lap affair to register a third-place finish. He trailed Jonathan Davenport and Bobby Pierce to the checkers.
