Podium finish in Southern Showcase opener with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series
Making the long haul to the Peach State from Illinois, Carson Ferguson unloaded the Paylor Motorsports No. 93 machine at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway for the first night of the Southern Showcase doubleheader.
With 29 Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Late Models signed in, Ferguson locked himself into the $5,000-to-win opener through qualifying and raced to a podium position in third. He trailed Brandon Overton and Sam Seawright while Wil Herrington and Michael Page completed the Top-5.
Following a heat race victory on Saturday, Carson redrew the No.3 starting spot for the $20,000-to-win main event. Running inside the Top-3 for much of the 50-lap feature, Ferguson started to fade and eventually pulled off early. He was scored 22nd.
