Eighth-place finish in Southern Showcase opener at Swainsboro Raceway

Fresh off a Super Late Model victory, Will Roland joined the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series on Friday afternoon for the first night of the Southern Showcase at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway.

With 29 Late Models checked in, Roland locked himself into the $5,000-to-win opener after qualifying fourth-quickest in his group. In the quick 30-lap shootout, Will recorded a Top-10 finish with an eighth-place outing.

With the field elevated to 35 entries on Saturday, Roland earned his spot in the $20,000-to-win showdown with a third-place finish in his heat. Rolling off 12th, Roland faded and eventually pulled off on lap 31.
