Fifth-place finish in Castrol FloRacing Night in America stop at Macon
Tyler Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports team joined a field of 26 Super Late Models at Macon Speedway (Macon, Ill.) on Tuesday afternoon for the opening round of the Castrol FloRacing Night in America.
Following the 13th-fastest qualifying effort, Erb squeezed into the $20,000-to-win A-Main with a fourth-place heat finish. With multiple cautions slowing the 50-lapper, Tyler rallied after tagging the tail on lap 18 to finish fifth. He trailed Ricky Thornton Jr., Jason Feger, Hudson O’Neal, and Myles Moos across the line.
The remainder of the weekend saw Terbo hop behind the wheel of the Hacienda Motorsports No. 91 Modified at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) for the inaugural Big Deal 24. With over 140 Modifieds amassed for Saturday’s $100,001-to-win main event, Erb’s bid into the 100-lap main event came to an early end with a 12th-place finish in his B-Main on Saturday night.
