Jeff Roth visits Lucas Oil Speedway for Show-Me 100 weekend
Jeff Roth got an early start to his Memorial Day weekend with a visit Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Thursday as the 3/8-mile oval hosted the 32nd annual Show-Me 100 tripleheader.
Drawing a stacked field of 63 entries for the event co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA), Roth followed up the 26th-fastest qualifying effort in his group with a ninth-place run in his heat. Needing to place second or better to make Thursday’s Cowboy Classic prelim, Jeff logged a 13th-place outing.
Facing more carburetor issues in Friday’s preliminary night, Jeff’s night was over with an 11th-place exit in his consolation race.
Relegated into one of three B-Mains on Saturday for one last shot at the $50,000-to-win Show-Me 100 finale, Roth was able to move forward three spots in the 12-lapper but fell short with a ninth-place outing.
