Top-10 finish with MARS Late Model Championship Series at Highland
McKay Wenger was back on the road with the MARS Late Model Championship Series over the weekend with Friday night’s Richard Craven Memorial at Kankakee County Speedway (Kankakee, Ill.).
Starting the $5,000-to-win opener in seventh via a third-place heat finish, Wenger was an early retiree from the 40-lapper with nine circuits remaining.
On Saturday at Highland Speedway (Highland, Ill.), McKay stormed into the weekend finale with a sixth-to-third run in his heat. Gunning for the $5,000 top prize, Wenger climbed two positions aboard his Curless Motorsports No. 99 Late Model to register an eighth-place finish.
