Nick Hoffman grabs World of Outlaws point lead with strong eastern swing
Tye Twarog Racing and Nick Hoffman hit the road on Thursday to kick off an eastern swing with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series with Thursday’s opener at Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio).
Against a stacked field of 42 Late Models, Hoffman stormed into the redraw with a heat race victory. Gunning for the $10,000 top prize in the opener, Nick rolled to a fourth-place finish in the 40-lapper.
After Friday’s stop at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.) fell to wet weather, Nick’s third-to-first showing in his heat race on Saturday at Marion Center Raceway (Marion Center, Pa.) locked him into the redraw. Starting the $15,000-to-win Connor Bobik Memorial in fourth, Hoffman muscled forward one spot to register a third-place finish. He joined Chris Madden and Kyle Bronson on the podium.
Capping off a stellar weekend with another top-10 run on Sunday, Hoffman took part in an exciting main event at Path Valley Speedway (Spring Run, Pa.) and brought home a seventh-place finish.
On the heels of a trio of top-10's, Nick is now leading the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
