Kyle Hammer follows Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Farmer City and Fairbury
Losing the first two events of Illinois Speedweek to weather, Kyle Hammer made the short trip to Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway on Friday afternoon for the $25,000-to-win Farmer City 74.
With 55 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries signed in, Hammer was slated to start fifth in his heat race but mechanical issues sidelined him for the rest of the evening.
Hoping for no issues Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday, Hammer qualified ninth-quickest in his group before finishing sixth in his heat race. Needing a Top-3 position in his B-Main, Kyle missed out by two spots with a fifth-place outing.
