Hoffman advances to seventh in LOLMDS Spring Shootout at FALS

After Mother Nature washed out Wednesday’s stop at Spoon River Speedway and postponed Thursday’s event at Lincoln Speedway to July 8th, Nick Hoffman kicked off a doubleheader weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Friday evening at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.).

Aboard his Tye Twarog Racing No. 9 Late Model, Nick raced into Friday’s opener with a runner-up showing in his heat race. With a $25,000 top prize up for grabs, Hoffman was an early retiree on lap 38.

For the FALS Spring Shootout on Saturday at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.), Nick edged his way into the $30,000-to-win weekend finale with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. Charging from the eighth row, Hoffman improved nine positions in the 60-lap affair to register a seventh-place finish.
