Matt Cosner competes in Lucas Oil doubleheader at Georgetown and Port Royal
Matt Cosner took his Mighty Auto Parts No. 66c Late Model into battle with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) over the weekend as the planned tripleheader kicked off on Friday at Georgetown Speedway (Georgetown, Del.) with the Melvin L. Joseph Memorial.
With 43 Late Models entered at the half-mile oval, Cosner backed up a sixth-place finish in his heat with a fourth-to-second showing in his B-Main. Locked on the 10th row for the $19,049-to-win Melvin L. Joseph Memorial, Matt was scored 21st in the rundown after pulling off on lap 23.
After Saturday’s Conococheague 50 at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.) fell to wet weather, Matt concluded his weekend on Sunday at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) for the Battle in the Borough. Following a seventh-place heat outing, Cosner’s night was over after fading to 10th in his consolation race.
