Satterlee sidelined in Lucas Oil stop at Port Royal Speedway
Friday night found Gregg Satterlee in action at Georgetown Speedway (Georgetown, Del.) as the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) invaded the half-mile oval for the Melvin L. Joseph Memorial.
After missing out on his hot lap session, Satterlee went 10th-quickest in his 22-car group before fading in his heat to finish eighth. Buried in his B-Main, Gregg pulled off on the fourth circuit to shift his focus to the remainder of the weekend.
With Saturday’s Conococheague 50 at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.) falling to wet weather, Gregg took his Satterlee Motorsports No. 22 Late Model into battle at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) on Sunday for the Battle in the Borough. Following a fifth-place finish in his heat, Satterlee raced into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a runner-up showing in his consolation race. Starting in 20th, Gregg slowed to bring out a caution with a flat left-rear tire on lap 34 that relegated him to 20th in the finishing order.
