Ferguson 10th in Rumble by the River at Port Royal with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
Making the long haul to the Northeast, Carson Ferguson joined the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on Friday afternoon at Georgetown (Del.) Speedway for the $19,049-to-win Melvin L. Joseph Memorial.
Finishing one spot out of a transfer in his heat race, Ferguson earned his spot in the feature with a runner-up finish in his B-Main. In the extended 49-lap A-Main, Carson made up three spots to finish 16th.
Saturday's event at Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway was cancelled due to rain.
Among another stout field of competition at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway on Sunday afternoon, Ferguson was victorious in his B-Main which earned him a starting spot on the ninth-row. Charging through the field, Carson made his way to the Top-10 and recorded a 10th-place outing in the $10,000-to-win feature.
Ferguson is currently 28th in the LOLMDS point standings.
