Clay Harris 11th with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Georgetown Speedway

Making the long haul to the Northeast, Clay Harris followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Georgetown (Del.) Speedway on Friday afternoon for the $19,049-to-win Melvin L. Joseph Memorial.

Racing his way into the main event through a B-Main, Harris used all 49-laps to his advantage and gained 11 positions to finish just outside the Top-10 in 11th.

Saturday's event at Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway was cancelled due to rain.

Looking for another solid run at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway on Sunday afternoon, Harris once again transferred through his B-Main and started the feature from the rear. Unfortunately, Clay was unable to charge like he did on Friday and wound up 24th in the final running order.

Harris is currently 13th in the LOLMDS point standings.
