ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints Headlining At Baton Rouge Raceway

BATON ROUGE, La. (April 10, 2024) Opening the 2024 season this past weekend with a two-night show at North Alabama, the ASCS Hurricane Area Super Sprints are back on track for a one-night showdown at Baton Rouge Raceway on Saturday, April 13.

The first of three appearances on the 2024 lineup at the Louisiana oval, the tour’s history shows eight previous events. Shane Morgan captured the win in the tour’s inaugural visit on June 26, 2021. In the series last visit on September 2, 2023, it was Morgan who again stood in Victory Lane.

Other winners include Todd Fayard (10/8/2021 and 4/4/2022), Michael Miller (7/15/2022 and 10/7/2022), Channin Tankersley (4/14/2023), and Jan Howard (6/24/2023).

Max Stambaugh and Hank Davis captured the first two checkered flags of the season and sit first and second in tour standings. Dale Howard holds third, followed by Jan Howard and Brad Bowden in fifth.

On Saturday, April 13, Pits open at 4:00 P.M., and grandstands open at 5:00 P.M. Hot Laps are at 7:00 P.M., and racing is at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Other divisions on the card include Pure Stocks Rookie Limited, Modified, Young Guns, Limited Modified, Stinger, Generation Next Limited Mods, CRUSA Dirt Late Models, and Mini Wedge, CRUSA Street Stocks.

General Admission is $20 for adults, $5 for youth (7-12), and free for kids six and under.
