Garrett Smith treks to Atomic Speedway for Buckeye Spring 50 with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series

Losing their Saturday plans to Mother Nature, Garrett Smith and his team made the haul to Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) on Sunday for the track's rescheduled Buckeye Spring 50 with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

With 42 Late Models packed into the pit area, Smith qualified a strong seventh-fastest in his group before finishing third in his heat race. Rolling off from the fifth-row in the $12,000-to-win main event, Garrett briefly ran inside the Top-10 before fading throughout the 50-lap feature to finish 23rd.
