13th-place finish with Xtreme Outlaw Series at Southern IL Center
Despite his Late Model sitting idle for the weekend, Nick Hoffman returned to action on Friday aboard the Rothwell Security No. 2H Midget at the Southern Illinois Center (Du Quoin, Ill.) for the doubleheader event with the Xtreme Outlaw Series.
After break issue struggles left him out of Friday’s feature, Hoffman stormed into Saturday’s $5,000-to-win Midwest Winter Nationals finale with a flag-to-flag victory in his heat race. Starting in ninth, Nick made a late rally from the back in the 40-lapper to salvage a 13th-place finish.
