Chase Junghans wraps up Wild West Shootout at Vado Speedway Park
Continuing his 2024 Wild West Shootout adventure, Chase Junghans got back into the swing of things on Wednesday afternoon for the third round at Vado (N.M) Speedway Park.
With the Late Model field down to 39 entries, Chase missed the eight ball in qualifying which put him behind for much of the evening. After a missing the transfer position by just one spot in his B-Main, Junghans had to watch Wednesday's feature from the sidelines.
Looking for better luck on Friday, Junghans was able to make the A-Main field but was an early retiree on lap 16.
With another $11,000 paycheck up for grabs on Saturday, Chase grabbed a transfer position from his B-Main but once again recorded a DNF after pulling off on lap 31.
For Sunday's $26,000-to-win finale, Junghans started the 50-lap main event from the 10th-row and wound up 12th when the checkered flag flew.
