Ward leads Winter Nationals standings at Cocopah after first week

Returning to his home state of Arizona to kick off his 2024 season, Tim Ward unloaded his Precision Performance No. 4TW Modified at Cocopah Speedway (Somerton, Ariz.) on Wednesday afternoon for the Playa Azul Seypet Resorts IMCATV Winter Nationals.

After picking up a flag-to-flag victory in his heat from the second row, Ward posted a second-place finish in Wednesday's feature, chasing race-long pacesetter Chris Zogg to the checkers.

Collecting three straight fourth-place finishes over the next three nights, Tim currently leads the Winter Nationals point standings with four events in the books.
