Holland takes 11th in Turkey Bowl

Chase Holland traveled from Mississippi to the Midwest over the weekend to take part in the Turkey Bowl XVII Larry Phillips Memorial at Springfield (Mo.) Raceway.

Fifty-eight Modifieds were in the pit area at the quarter-mile dirt oval when competition kicked off on Friday. Holland posted finishes of fourth and first in his heat races that night in his No. 45 ride.

After the redraw, he rolled off fourth in Saturday’s 50-lap, $7,575-to-win A-Main.

Holland was quick early in the feature but faded with tire issues as the race progressed and came home in the 11th position.
