Dylan Thornton Launches New Website
Tops Stock Car Finale at Duel in the Desert

ORCUTT, Ca. (11/10/23) – Dylan Thornton has launched a brand-new website at www.DylanThorntonRacing.com, which is a one-stop shop for all the racing happenings related to the California competitor.

The site for the 2023 IMCA Super Nationals Stock Car Champion is developed and maintained by MyRacePass.com Website & PR Services.

Dylan Thornton was in action last weekend as he traveled west to The Dirt Track at Las Vegas for the 2023 edition of the Duel in the Desert. After seeing an Open Practice Session on Wednesday night, action kicked into gear on Thursday with Dylan pulling double duty in the Stock Car and Modified divisions.

With 94 Modifieds in the pits, Thornton's outing came to an early end with struggles in both the heat race and B-Main preventing him from starting the feature.

Dylan's fortune in the Stock Car ranks proved to be much better. Thirty-seven racers entered the event, and a masterful eighth-to-first charge in his heat race earned Dylan the pole position for the feature aboard Leland Hibdon’s Eldorado Stock Car. He would go on to finish sixth in the finale.

Action resumed on Friday night with Thornton continuing to find more speed. In fact, in Stock Car action it was a banner night with Dylan advancing from third to second in his heat race to earn the fifth starting spot for the main event.

He progressively worked his way forward in the pack in the 18-lap affair, ultimately taking a lead on lap 10 that he would never relinquish.

Thornton was followed across the line by Cole Czarneski, Kevin Roberts, Brendon LaBatte, and Levi Card.

In Modified action, a second-place finish in his heat race position Dylan eighth on the starting grid for the feature. He passed two cars to finish sixth.
The final round of the weekend found line-ups determined by driver's performances the previous two nights. Lining up sixth on the feature grid via the redraw, Dylan charged to the victory with Zane DeVilbiss, B.J. Wild, Kevin Roberts, and John Parmeley completing the Top-5 finishers.
In Modified action, Dylan started sixth in a B-Main, but mechanical issues relegated him to a 10th-place finish as his weekend drew to a close.

The next event currently on the docket for Thornton is the 2023 Castrol Gateway Dirt Nationals presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts at The Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Mo.) on Dec. 14-16. He’ll go into battle in the Modified division, which will see the field divided into $3,000-to-win prelim programs on Thursday and Friday, followed by a $10,000-to-win finale on Saturday.
