Winter Nationals brings Landon Britt to Devil's Bowl
After inclement weather washed out the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) doubleheader at Texarkana 67 Speedway (Texarkana, Ark.) a week prior, Landon Britt returned with the series over the weekend at Devil’s Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas) for the 50th running of the annual Winter Nationals.
Drawing 32 Sprint Cars for the two-day event, Britt replaced his motor after his qualifying session, forcing him to sit out his heat race. He only completed a few laps in his consolation race and the A-Main before heading pitside.
On Saturday, Landon squeezed into the $4,000-to-win Winter Nationals finale with a ninth-to-sixth showing in his heat. H was scored 19th in the final rundown when the checkered flag flew in the 30-lap affair.
