Cade Dillard dominates in Modified at Whynot's Fall Classic

Cade Dillard visited Victory Lane for the fifth time in 2023 over the weekend with a triumph aboard his S&S Fishing & Rental Inc. / Johnsville Company No. 97 Joel’s Auto Sales / Krohn Farms / CDR Race Car / Mullins Racing Engine Modified.

His most recent trip to the Winner’s Circle came at Whynot Motorsports Park during the championship night of the 29th annual Coors Light Fall Classic.

“We pivoted on our weekend plans after the Outlaws weekend got rained out, and got both the Modified and the Super Late Model ready for Whynot Motorsports Park. I always enjoy going there, and we had a pretty good weekend with the Late Model and got the win with the Modified,” Dillard said. “This week we are getting ready to head west to my favorite track, Vado Speedway Park to see if we can win the (USRA) Fall Nationals for the second-straight year. Thanks to everyone, who supports this program.”

With the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series weekend in the Peach State falling to inclement weather, Robeline, Louisiana’s Cade Dillard headed east to Whynot (Miss.) Motorsports Park on Friday to pull double duty in the Super Late Model and Modified ranks for the 29th annual Coors Light Fall Classic weekend.

Splitting the massive Late Model field in two groups for prelims on Friday, Dillard raced into his preliminary feature with a heat race victory. Chasing a $3,000 top prize, Cade rolled to a third-place finish in the 30-lapper, which came behind Josh Putnam and Morgan Bagley.

On Saturday, Cade clocked in third-fastest in his time trial group before placing first in his heat race. Starting the $15,000-to-win Fall Classic finale in sixth, Dillard dropped three positions in the 60-lap affair to finish ninth.

Following an eight-lap win in his Modified heat race on Friday, Dillard repelled a mid-race challenge from Chase Holland in Saturday’s A-Main to comfortably pick up his fifth win of the season and $2,000 payday.

He took the checkers 5.577 seconds ahead of Taylor Jarvis with Dallon Murty, Scott Ladner, and Hunter Breland rounding out the Top-5 finishers.

Cade Dillard Racing now treks west this weekend to Royal Jones’ Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park for the 23rd annual Rancho Milagro USRA Fall Nationals. Preliminary programs are set for Friday and Saturday with a $20,000-to-win / $1,600-to-start finale on Sunday.

Cade picked up a $22,000 win in the mega event in 2022.
